On Monday, March 4, 2019. with the support and presence of the State Secretary.Biljana Popovic Ivkovic and Assistant Minister of the Sector for Human Resources, Katarina Tomasevic, as well as the representative of the Office of the Swedish Police in Belgrade, the office of the Association of Women in the Police was opened.
This association was established in December 2018, with clear commitment to empower women in the police, supporting women in career development through training and promotion of work results, and providing support in issues related to discrimination against women employed in the police.
During the opening of the office, one of the founders of the Women's Network in the Police, Dunja Simić, thanked the partners from the Swedish police for their exceptional support in the establishment and equipping of the Association so far. She particularly thanked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Dr. Nebojša Stefanović, as well as the complete Ministry's leadership on the recognized role of women, the promotion of gender equality and the daily support for the training, development and career advancement of the members of the more beautiful gender.
Office of the Women's Network in the Police is located at Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 2, Novi Beograd, in the Palace of Serbia on the fifth floor and is open on weekdays, from 7.30 to 15.30 for all police officers who want to join Network or to consult and receive any closer information regarding the activities of the Association
