In the framework of the implementation of the Project "Developing a Gender Agenda in the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia" in the period 2016-2018 " internal documents were adopted for the implementation of gender equality measures in the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia as formal preconditions for systemic integration of gender equality, prevention, prevention and protection from gender-based discrimination in the police and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia.

In this sense, with the support and assistance of external experts, in 2018, they were created, then adopted by the Minister " The Guidelines for implementation of measures for achieving gender equality in the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia through the human resources management system" , as well as the "Guidelines for prevention and protection against gender-based discrimination and discrimination based on other personal characteristics in the MOI of the Republic of Serbia". In addition, in order to better understand and more efficiently implement the aforementioned Instruction, a Manual has been prepared, which clarifies the basic elements of discrimination in order to be more easily recognized and delineated from other illegal actions, as well as explained internal procedures for preventing and protecting employees of all forms discrimination, especially gender based.

In order to better understand and more efficiently implement these documents and acts in practice, within the framework of the project activities for the implementation of the aforementioned Project this year, the first presentation of the aforementioned internal acts in the PU in Kraljevo, on March 15, 2019, was held. Presentations / held two presentations during the same day / held by the representatives of the Human Resources Department, with the participation of the representatives of the Police Directorate, attended by 60 managers of all levels of management in the PU in Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Krusevac and Novi Pazar.

Within the presentation, specific Guidelines and then the Manual were presented, through clarifications and presentation of a large number of examples, so that the institutes, mechanisms and procedures from these documents would be better understood and recognized in practice.

Participants had the opportunity, after presentations, to ask questions, express their dilemmas and resolve ambiguities, since managers are most responsible for the implementation of these acts in their organizational unit, and at the same time holders of many of these activities and actors in the procedures. In that sense, clarifications and answers to the questions asked by the presenters and other representatives of the Human Resources Sector, as well as the Directorate of Police and the representative of the Swedish Police Office in Belgrade were provided.

Presentations were held by representatives of the Human Resources Sector, Natalija Tomić and Nikolina Đujić.
The gathering was opened by the head of the PU in Kraljevo, Željko Rajković, and introductory remarks were given by Gordana Vuković, Assistant to the Chief of Human Resources Sector and Head of the Implementation Team of the MOI for the implementation of the Project "Developing a Gender Agenda in the MIA", Aleksandar Vasilijević, Deputy Chief of the Police Directorate in the Police Directorate  and Tatjana Vasic, Gender Equality Consultant at the Swedish Police Office in Belgrade.
